Sorry for being MIA. Its midterm season - loads of stress. Enough said. Now, today I want to talk about something a little different. I usually talk about day to day fashion, but I wanted to talk about workout/fitness wear today. Just because our going to sweat a lot and be working out does not mean you have to wear baggy old clothes and sweats. There is nothing wrong with looking good at the same time. When we look good, we feel good.
So, my favorite form of exercise is yoga. So, I'm going to post some of my favorite yoga looks.
So, I'm currently lusting after this top from lululemon. So simple in the front, but really nice detailing on the back. Now, I'm usually about fashion on a budget - but my yoga gear, thats a different story. If you do want some cheaper alternatives :
- Old Navy - they have great active wear
- Plato's Closet - its a designer second hand store, where you can find Lululemon, Nike, everything. Not just workout clothes. Everything. Including heels.
These are awesome for hot yoga. Seriously, do not wear heavy clothing. It is hot, and you sweat a lot. However, you feel awesome after.
If your going to get black shorts or grey (I suggest doing this), then go for a brighter top. Shorts should be able to go with anything, and pants. Tops have some fun with. If your doing regular yoga, or running or any workout activity these are good, or you can try just basic black yoga pants. My favorite are Groove Pants from lululemon. However, Old Navy, Costco, and Mark's Work Wearhouse have really nice ones too.
My favorite thing to wear on the way to yoga is my Vinyasa scarf. I live in Canada - it gets cold. Its the perfect fashionable addition that is also made of sweat resistant or sweat wisking material. It looks cute with a tee and jeans too!
Another item on the wish list, which is super cute, and would be awesome for a yoga class is this:
Again, from lululemon - its the Be Me Tee. So cute.
Now, I like to get a little hippy sometime - so I like tie-dye workout clothes. And I recently found a pair at a yoga studio that I tried, that I now want- badly.

In fact, this whole outfit is totally cute. Available at Yoga Shack. You can purchase it on their website too: https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/ASP/home.asp?studioid=11743
True to form - they also have beautiful beaded jewelry. A bit pricey, but beautiful - and great meaning behind it.
My view is that you should always let your personal style come out. So find workout or yoga apparel that you feel comfortable in and that makes you feel good. Pretty and functional is the best. So have fun with it. And for those of you who haven't tried yoga, give it a try its awesome.
Cheers guys!
Will be back tomorrow with new fashion updates.
